Money talks on the cricketing field

For once sports in India stopped being hypocritical and spoke the language of money in the recent IPL auction of the players.  The most talked about players has been Gautam Gambhir ($2.5 M) and Yusuf Pathan ($2.1M) both of whom has got snapped over by Shah Rukh Khan's KKR. It actaully makes you wonder if these kind of prices are worth it.

But if you dig deeper, SRK has a a great understanding of media and endorsments and even with a losing team, KKR had the maximum sponsership and was pegged richest team in 2009 at $42.1M.

Also with the following player KKR will undoubtedly be a strong team and more important it will be a team you would love to watch with its blazing batsmen. After all IPL is not only about winning but also about entertainment.

My prediction will be that while other teams think about statergy, SRK has a clear focus on making KKR the richest and exciting team.
