The Trump victory in 2024 has been a rude awaking for Europe. Other than select countries none of the traditional allies in Europe were invited for the Trump inauguration. Among the first interactions with the new administration,  JD Vance, the vice-president of US has made a bold but well observed speech. While there was a shock in the traditional circles, it is important that friends hold the mirror to you and are brutally honest. The Vice-president has rightly called out the deep-self refection that is need in Europe to understand what ideal and values it is fighting for.
